I have a friend who predicts earthquakes, but she did not predict the one we had today out near Borrego Springs, a 5.2 that always has a news person up in Pasadena to get the 'official' take on what happened, what.. actually is happening every day in smaller ways here in our fair land, the land of shake and bake and fruits and nuts where we mostly take in stride the rumblings and everyone will inevitably ask, 'did you feel it?' and we will say yea or nay and life goes on when the days still lengthen and May Gray has now turned to June Gloom, that matches the demeanor of the politically active others who think that change is imminent when we know that change, if ever is glacial unless you piss off religious/political fanatics who want to make a point to kill you, kill you all, you non-believers, the Infidel! who disagree with my belief and then.. then.. then!! we turn all the populace into criminals and treat the each of us as though we have a bomb or a disease or a way to wipe out our way of life and things come to a virtual standstill until .. in time.. reason may rear its hoary head and love, love ... will steer the stars?
I wonder where I put those little portable radios?
