OOOOOOPS!

December 5, 2016

I see dead people.  The news is running over with death.  A probable murder / suicide in Long Beach, a USC professor stabbed to death and the terrible warehouse fire tragedy in Oakland with many dead or missing.

Politicians being sworn in.  The election possibly in question with my fingers crossed for a miracle as I prepare to lobby ninety republican electors in snail mail.  One name on my list is a woman elector in Arizona: Jane Lynch, 518 Why Worry Lane! Why Worry, indeed!

The feeling of dread for our country is palpable.  It's interesting to have these feelings after I teased a former friend about the state of the nation not being changed much even if Donald Duck was President. Then, we got GWB and 9/11 because Ossama didn't like the Bush family and the crap of his years.  Then!  An actual intellectual and arts oriented guy with President Obama.. and some progress even with recalcitrant congress. Now..  I literally shudder at the thought that the 'president elect' might actually be sworn in, with a gang of helpers to bring the United States to its knees?

On a brighter note..  My morning routine has to do with the photo of Adams Hill from my porch as well as the past few days tracking the growth of this chayote squash.  There was a burst of energy from the chayote that made it fly off the little frame it shared with the last chayote that worked itself into a mummy.  Plants are alive.. and with luck, they will inherit the earth to feed some radioactive ancestors to come?  What? Me worry?
