Having read a bit of brain research on my own about the role of the amygdala in how humans and other critters processes fear and/or anxiety, this article in Rolling Stone from just a few days ago, speaks volumes. Indeed, it's a volume and then some, but mostly understandable and worth the effort. The brain chemistry science behind how the amygdala works and other studies quoted in this writing is a quiet call for going beyond the limits that most of us set for ourselves. Give yourself ten minutes or so to read this. If nothing else, it's a brief primer regarding how our brains and our habits may be manipulated from outside whether we think we are being manipulated or not!
